Michael is our Wine Buyer, charged with the duty of selecting our wines. He started his wine career about 23 years ago when he walked into a wine store in Boston with a piece of fish he planned to have for dinner and walked out with a part-time job. A move to NYC and years of working and touring as a professional musician afforded him ample opportunities to taste, visit vineyards, and develop a serious passion for wine. Before coming to Windsor Wine Merchants in July of 2009, Michael was a teaching assistant at The International Wine Center and spent 8 years at Slope Cellars, where he authored the wine and food blog "Out On A Limb", as well as leading the Brooklyn College of Wine Knowledge series of tasting classes. Michael writes "The Wine Wire" for our website and figures that he has tasted almost 1300 different wines as part of duties in the last year, a tough job but someone has to do it.
